Sugar Mountain Ski Trip

Nineteen scouts and seven adults from Troop 137 piled into three 15 passenger vans and drove 7 hours to Boone NC over Presidents Day Weekend. The group was blessed with great weather and was able to ski or snowboard for two full days at the Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. In evenings, the boys topped of their fuel tanks with buffet dinners and then retreated back to the Family Center at the Boone United Methodist Church to enjoy board games, cards, dodge ball, kickball and basketball. We are pleased to report that all scouts who went on the trip learned how to snow ski. Both Dads and Scouts had a great time.

Scouts working at least four shifts on our annual fundraiser (selling wreaths and Christmas trees) had the opportunity to attend the ski trip. Lots of fun and mischief in the cold white stuff.... Click here to view all the photos in the slideshow
